Gooseberry Crumble
|
|
Gooseberries are a fruit that aren't used in cooking recipes
enough. When baked in the oven their texture is delicious and they have a unique
sweet and sour taste when sprinkled with sugar. Gooseberries are now available
in supermarkets year round but the best will be those grown in your own garden.
Our favourite variety is Hinnomaki Red. Disease resistant, with lots of red,
juicy and sweet fruit they are ideal fresh or frozen. |
