PREPARATION
If using butter then take it out of the fridge and chop into
chunks and allow to warm up a little.
Turn the oven on now to 190°C - 375°F - Gas Mark 5.
Peel the apples, cut them into quarters, remove the core then cut each quarter into six
or eight slices. Each slice will break down when cooked so it's not too important to get
them equal sized.
RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
|
1. |
Place all the Crisp ingredients into a largish bowl and rub them together with
your finger tips.
As the ingredients are mixed they will start to form crumbs. It will take
around five minutes until all the ingredients are mixed. |
 |
|
2. |
Place the sliced apples in the base of an oven proof dish. Approximately two
thirds apples to two thirds crisp mixture is the ideal.
Sprinkle tablespoon of
sugar over the apples and then sprinkle the crisp mixture over the apples. Pile
it high because the apples reduce in size as they cook. Place in the pre-heated
oven for 35 minutes. |
|
Serve with custard, cream or ice cream.
